Rules for lawful and responsible use of the Open Gate Tickets platform.

Last updated: July 16, 2026

Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy describes prohibited and restricted uses of the Open Gate Tickets Platform. It applies to all users, including ticket buyers, organizers, administrators, and API consumers.

Lawful use

You must use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these policies, our Terms of Service, applicable organizer agreements, and all applicable local, state, provincial, federal, and international laws.

Prohibited activities

You may not use the Platform to sell or promote illegal goods or services, publish false or misleading event information, impersonate another person or organization, harass others, or interfere with Platform security or performance.

You may not attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data; introduce malware; scrape the Platform in violation of our technical limits; or circumvent access controls, rate limits, or fee calculations.

You may not use the Platform for unauthorized ticket resale, bot-driven purchasing, or other activity that undermines fair access to tickets or violates organizer resale restrictions.

Content standards

Event listings, images, checkout content, and communications must not infringe intellectual property rights, contain hate speech or unlawful discrimination, or include sexually exploitative or violent material unrelated to a legitimate event offering.

We may remove or restrict content that violates this policy or creates legal or security risk.

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations, suspend or terminate accounts, cancel transactions, withhold payouts where permitted by law and payment partner rules, and cooperate with law enforcement when required.

Organizers are responsible for the content they publish and for instructing their staff and partners to use the Platform appropriately.
