Refund Policy

Platform-level refund policy for ticket purchases made through Open Gate.

Last updated: July 16, 2026

Platform role

Open Gate Tickets provides ticketing technology used by independent event organizers. Unless otherwise stated in writing, Open Gate is not the merchant of record for ticket sales and does not set event refund terms.

Organizer refund terms

Each event organizer sets the refund policy that applies to their ticket sales. That policy is displayed on checkout before you complete your purchase. By buying tickets, you agree to the organizer's refund policy for that event.

Refund requests, exchanges, credits, and event-change communications should be directed to the event organizer listed on your order confirmation, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Service fees

Platform and payment processing fees disclosed at checkout are generally non-refundable, even when an organizer approves a ticket refund, unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise by the organizer.

Canceled or changed events

If an event is canceled, postponed, rescheduled, or materially changed, the organizer is responsible for determining refund or exchange options and communicating them to ticket buyers.

Open Gate may assist with operational tools but does not guarantee refunds for event changes initiated by organizers.

Chargebacks

If you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer, the organizer and payment processor may provide transaction records to resolve the dispute. Contact the organizer first when possible so they can address your request directly.
